Conference "Successful results of Erasmus+ projects"

On March 29, 2023, the Conference "Successful results of Erasmus+ projects" was held at Magtymguly Turkmen State University. The event was organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Turkmenistan with the active participation of the Ministry of Education and the EU Dele-gation to Turkmenistan, and with the support of the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). Higher education students, academic staff and Turkmen project teams were the main participants of the conference.

The purpose of the meeting to present the results of the Turkmen teams in ICM and CBHE projects. A special guest of the conference was the Head of the EU Delegation to Turkmenistan, Ambassador Diego Ruiz Alonso, who delivered a welcoming speech and emphasized the importance of developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union.

The important role of talented youth was highlighted by Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva, Rector of TSU. She also noted that Erasmus+ projects assisted Turkmen universities to implement innovative curricula and teaching methods, advanced training courses for specialists in scientific and educational sphere, and provided impetus for the development of talented young people.

Coordinator of the International Credit Mobility (ICM) project, Director of the Institute of Analytical Chemistry (the Slovak University of Technology), Professor Ivan Spanik also expressed the support for the development of cooperation among EU – Turkmenistan universities in the framework of ICM project activities.

Aina Chorekliyeva, Coordinator of the Erasmus+ National Office in Turkmenistan delivered a presentation entitled “On the opportunities of the Erasmus+ Program” at the current stage.

The Turkmen participants of ICM and CBHE projects demonstrated the opportunities related to the Erasmus+ project activities that contributed to their professional and personal development. Nurdzhakhan Myalikgulyeva, TSU staff, told about experience and results of her internship in Bratislava, completed within the framework of Erasmus+ ICM project.

The results of CBHE project "New courses in Geospatial Engineering for Adaptation of Coastal Ecosystems to Climate Change" (GEOCLIK) were demonstrated to the conference participants by Local Coordinators of three Turkmen universities Sheker Ashirmuradova (Turkmen State University), Orazmukhammed Durdyev (Turkmen State Agricultural University), and Aina Muhammedova (International University of the Humanities and Development).
